A summary of the past 3 weeks

April 28, 2010

Graduated, KOed, Fixed

Ok, I'll go into more detail. I really miss Kaleo! By that I mean the people not the program. I had been praying for tears for the whole year and God finally responded, I bawled my eyes out when saying goodbye to some of my friends. During the whole grad ceremony I was in a state of confusion because I knew I wasn't going to see many of these people for a long time and I didn't know how to react to them. So for the most part I stayed silent and just observed others. I MISS YOU GUYS!

Contrary to my superstitions, I actually passed the Kaleo program. I wouldn't be disappointed if I didn't. My purposes at Kaleo were not to get a certificate. I was there to find God. Not only did I find him there, but I am blown away by how many of his fingerprints I have found in the world around me. I can't believe I was this blind!

As you might have noticed on Facebook, I had an accident while playing soccer on Wednesday night. Marc Anderson, who has almost as much intensity as I do, ran into me and we both were knocked out unconscious. I was out for a few seconds but when I woke up I couldn't remember the past few days and was wondering why I wasn't at Kaleo. When the Paramedics asked how old I was, I said 19. (lol) Thankfully, I got all my memory back the next day. I'm a little sore but still kicking. As for my buddy, he fractured his skull in 2 places and had a seizure immediately after the collision. He spent the night in the hospital and was released the next day. There is no paralysis or brain damage but he can't open his jaw all the way so he is on liquids for the next few weeks. Please pray for his recovery.

On Friday I leave for Yorkton Sask to work for Grandpa again. I plan to be there until I am not needed for framing. Then again, work is only half the reason that I am going there. My main goal is to be a Christlike figure to several of the people there. I am excited to see how they react. I want to bring encouragement to a setting (construction) where people mostly complain and notice the negatives. It will be a challenge because my natural instinct is to notice where people don't measure up or where they fail but I'm gonna give it all I got! Please pray for me in this area.

A special thanks to my prayer team who stood beside me though all of Kaleo, You guys rock!

Till next time,

Trent
