No wait, I lied, one major thing that comes to mind is the earthquakes in Haiti. This doesn't seem to have much to do with my Kaleo ministry and therefore shouldn't on my blog but God opened my eyes to a whole possible future for myself. This would be in the area of civil engineering. If the Haitians aren't able to build strong enough buildings and roads, then some one has to figure out how to do this despite their circumstances of poverty and lack of supplies. That is where I come in. As you should all know, I love puzzles and figuring things out so this would be an interesting job for me. I'm not making ay concrete plans but I thought I would mention what God put on my mind.
This Sunday at church we had went for pizza at Pastor Joel's house and talked about the future of our ministry at North Cowichan Alliance Church. We both agreed that it would be a good idea if I shared my testimony in front of the church, as I had been wanting to do this for some time. I ask that you could pray for this as #1 I ain't na publik speaka and #2 I have a hard assembling something as complex as a testimony. Pray that God would use my weaknesses for the good of His kingdom and that others would be inspired by what they hear. We also agreed to attend one of the church small groups when possible.
Again, I ask you to pray for our volunteering opportunity at the Olympics. This is approaching much faster than I expected it. I have been procrastinating the necessary preparations for this trip. And of course I will be bogged down with homework until we leave on February 10th. "But wait.." you ask, "I thought the Olympics start on the 12th!" You would be correct. But guess what!?? We have been blessed with the opportunity to attend the dress rehearsal for the opening ceremonies! Sweet eh? Could I also ask you to commit to praying DAILY for the Kaleo students who are volunteering? This would be from Feb 10-28. Please reply to this post if you are willing to do this. I will update you with specific prayer requests as soon as I think of them.
Thanks for keeping me in your prayers,
Trent
